Lieutenant Colonel Dietrich P. Whisennand is Deputy Commander for Seniors of Irving Composite Squadron. Other positions held: Director of Professional Development for Texas Wing (1999-2004), Group Commander of 4th Group (2001-2003), 4th Group staff (1998-2005), Professional Development Officer for Dallas Composite Squadron (1996-1999). In the Emergency Services mission, he is an Incident Commander 1, Agency Liaison 1, Planning Section Chief, Logistics Section Chief, Finance/Administration Section Chief, Air Operations Branch Director, Master Mission Observer, ARCHER Operator, Ground Branch Director, Radiological Monitor, Ground Team Leader, Information Officer, Flight Line Supervisor, Communications Unit Leader, Critical Incident Stress Management Team, Mission Safety Officer, Skills Evaluator, and Mission Staff Assistant. He has taught at the National ES Academy's ICS School for since 2004 and at the first Lone Star ES Academy in 2008. |

Colonel Whisennand has received the following degrees: AAS in Criminal Justice, Community College of the Air Force; BS in History and English Literature, Excelsior College; ND in Naturopathy, Trinity College; DD in Divinity, Pathways Seminary. Colonel Whisennand is also a graduate of the USAF Security Police Academy, USAF Command NCO Academy, Army AMEDD Officer Basic and Adavanced Courses, Army Combined Arms and Services Staff School, USAF Squadron Officer School, USAF Air Command and Staff College. Colonel Whisennand joined CAP in September 1996. Colonel Whisennand's awards and decorations include the CAP Master Observer Wings, CAP Master Ground Team Badge, AF Senior Security Police Qualification Badge, Master ES Badge, Master AE Badge, AF Commendation Medal, AF Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal with 1 Bronze Star, Armed Forces Reserve Service Medal with Silver Hourglass, Army Reserve Service Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, CAP Exceptional Service Medal, CAP Meritorious Service Medal with 1 Bronze Clasp, CAP Commander's Commendation Medal with 7 Bronze Clasps, Gill Robb Wilson Award with Bronze Star, A. Scott Crossfield Master AE Award, BG Chuck Yeager AE Award, Red Service Ribbon with 2 Bronze Clasp, Search and Rescue Find Ribbon with 7 Bronze Clasps and Prop, Counternarcotics Ribbon with 4 Bronze Clasps, Air Search and Rescue Ribbon with 50 Bronze Clasps and Prop, and Disaster Relief Ribbon with V device and 2 bronze clasps.
